I am going to be completely honest…I know very little about makeup.  Since the day I started wearing the stuff {junior high-high school?} not a whole lot has changed.  I like simple and often do not have the time to make much fuss.  Yet I seem to fuss about everything else in life.  Why not makeup?  Well, I am beginning to see it is a lack of experience and basic knowledge of what works best. 

I was pleased when I got the opportunity to try out a few of Mary Kay’s products.  I branched out of my regular just brown eye shadow to something a little noticeable without sacrificing a whole lot of my time.

I received the Mary Kay Compact Mini {which is super cute and practical} that includes three mineral eye colors and cheek color that all magically are held in the refillable magnetic case.  Yes, I said magnetic.  So fun!  So you can mix and match and when you run out of just one color, you can replace just the one and not have a half empty set. 

The Mineral Eye Color Bundles come in a three color set based on your eye color {taking all the guess work out for non educated beauty wearers like myself!}.  I would have never attempted a shade of blue until now!  And to my surprise, it worked great!  I will leave the beauty science to the professionals from now on!

I also tried out the Mary Kay Tinted Lip Balm Sunscreen SPF 15 and Ultimate Mascara to finish the whole look.

And in case you are like me, you will appreciate that they give you step by step instructions on how to apply the eye colors.  Thank goodness!  I might have pulled an 80’s look with that blue eye shadow!
